Note 1
B&B’S, or chambre d’hôtes as they are known in France, are rooms within someone’s home. They are not hotels. Guests are looked after by the owner as if they are friends. Indeed many guests become friends of the establishment. As the establishment is run usually by one person and there is much work to do, it is usually appreciated if guests vacate the premises in the morning and do not return until the evening. This allows time for the owner to clean, shop, cook and effect minor repairs. Bed linen and towels are usually changed on the 3rd or 4th day depending on the length of stay. Rooms are not locked and any valuables should be kept on the guests person or locked in the safes provided. The Belvedere has a relaxed approach and we pride ourselves on going out of the way to help our guests and to make their stay as enjoyable as possible. When we are full it may not be possible to give everyone all the assistance they require. However we do try to do our best.
